Lawrence Hedblom, a professionally trained and experienced executive and career coach, is dedicated to helping clients achieve more professional success and personal fulfillment.

Springboard Unlimited LLC – Lawrence founded Springboard in 2006 to help organizations and individuals manage transitions with confidence and control.  The core of the work centers on change that clients are seeking and entails working together to envision ideal future outcomes, looking holistically at current status with an emphasis on strengths, and then implementing an action plan to close the gap.

In addition to Springboard, Lawrence is one of Lee Hecht Harrison’s Chicago-based executive coaches.

Prior Experience - Prior to becoming a certified coach, Lawrence had more than two decades of experience working in sales and marketing including marketing management roles with large companies such as Time Warner, Ziff Davis, and the Economist Group to smaller, more entrepreneurial dot-com start ups.

Training - Lawrence holds the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential from the International Coach Federation, the governing body of coaching.  He earned his Certified Professional Co-Active (CPCC) accreditation through The Coaches Training Institute (CTI), the world’s largest in-person coach training organization.  He also completed CTI’s year-long, intensive leadership development program and, on invitation, returned to assist that program.

Assessments – Tools that provide both self-reported information and feedback from peers can add important clarity and insight to the coaching process.  To meet specific client needs, the following are used to facilitate coaching:

  • Everything DiSC™
    Leadership Circle Profile (360)
    Campbell 360
SEI (Belsten Social and Emotional Intelligence Profile)
Strong Interest Inventory – Career Report

Volunteering – A lifelong learner who regularly attends seminars, he is also an active volunteer in the coaching and human resource management community.

Currently, at the Executive Service Corps of Chicago he is the Coaching Practice Leader (overseeing 30 volunteer coaches) as well as a strategic planning consultant, trainer, and workshop leader.

In previous volunteer roles he has been: a volunteer coach, speaker, and workshop leader with the Career Transitions Center of Chicago; marketing director, board member, and committee chairperson for Chicago SHRM; and, VP finance and board member for ICF Chicago.

Lawrence graduated cum laude from Duke University with a major in public policy, concentrating in communications. He lives in Chicago with his lovely wife, an orange cat, and a black Labrador.
